On Thursday, March 28, 2019, Yeshiva University’s annual Jewish Career Development Expo, one of the largest Jewish networking events in the United States, connected 400 job seekers with more than 75 Jewish educational institutions, organizations and advocacy groups from across the country.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Max Stern Athletic Center on YU’s Wilf Campus, attendees networked with their peers and prospective employers, discovered opportunities in Jewish education and Jewish communal work and interviewed for job openings on the spot.

The 2019 event offered a series of first-time features. Pre-event résumé screening and meeting scheduling were made possible through JEDJobs, a job board exclusively focused on Jewish education. Another new addition were the Innovation Showcases, which gave employers the opportunity to highlight specific programs or practices that set them apart from other schools and organizations.

“It was a truly inspiring and motivating event,” noted Rabbi Eliezer Barany, academic programs and communications coordinator at the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration, which organized the Expo. “We’re proud to serve the community with this unique gathering that not only allows leaders in the field of Jewish education to share their innovations but also connects existing and potential educators with new career opportunities.”
